In 1963, Gerard Gorce began working at the Dominion Gallery in Montreal under Dr. Max Stern. He was Dr. Stern’s assistant until 1976 when he opened Gerard Gorce
Fine Arts on Sherbrooke Street.
During his stay at the gallery, Gerard acquired a great deal of experience. He met famous Canadian artists such as: Stanley Cosgrove, Jean Dallaire, E.J. Hughes, John Little, Jean Paul Riopelle, A.Y jackson, Arthur Lismer, John Lyman, among others.
As well, Gerard met international artists such as: Jean Arp, Cesar, Lynn Chadwick
Pericle Fazzini, Aristide Maillol, Giacomo Manzu, Marino-Marini, Henry Moore, Ossip Zadkine and others.
In 1984, Gerard Gorce joined The Theo Waddington gallery which became Waddington Gorce Inc.
| || From that time on, the gallery started to exhibit at International Art Fairs like Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami.
The gallery has exhibited works by: Milton Avery, Lynn Chadwick, Jim Dine, Henri Matisse, Henry Moore, Mimo Paladino, Pablo Picasso, Jean-Paul Riopelle among others.
Gerard is now a private art dealer in Toronto.
From now on, Gerard Gorce is an internationnal private art dealer based in Toronto since 2005.
A member of ADAC since 1984.
